To show a video on a page of your website, it will first have to be on a video hosting site such as YouTube.
This is advantageous as it reduces the loading time and bandwidth usage of your site.
If you require help with uploading a video to YouTube, there are instructions on how to do so here.
Once your video is uploaded to YouTube, go to the page that you want to edit in InTouch with Communities.
Click Website in the left hand menu, then go to the Page Content tab, go to Site Content in the new tabs that appear and click on the page you want to edit.
Now go to the YouTube page with the video you want. Every YouTube video has an Embed code so that you can display it on other websites. To find it, underneath the video title, click the Share button.
From the options that appear, click Embed.
A code will appear for you to copy and paste into your site. Right-click on the code, select Copy from the context menu.
Now return to the page you are editing on InTouch with Communities. Go to the page editor.
Important: You will have to switch to Source mode to embed the code correctly.
Click the Source button to view the code of your page.
Go to the last line of the page and press Enter to create a new line. Simply right-click on the new line and select Paste or press Ctrl+V on the keyboard.
Returning to standard view by clicking Source again, scroll down to the bottom of the page and you will see that the video has been inserted and looks like this in the editor, labelled IFRAME:
This is just a place-holder so that it doesn't have to load the video as you are editing.
You can drag and drop the video to move it around the page and also change the alignment (Centre, Left, Right) with the formatting tools at the top of the editor.
Now click the blue Save Content button and your video will appear on the page.
