- If you have formatted text in a word processor such as Microsoft Office Word, it won't look the same when you paste it into a web page.
- This is because Word documents have a different format to web pages, use different code and cannot be read correctly by web browsers.
- We always recommend using plain, unformatted text and sprucing it up in the Editor! This way you can format the text correctly and it will look great to your visitors.
- If you have existing text that is already formatted and you want to add it to a webpage, you can remove the formatting by selecting the text and copying and pasting into Notepad.

- Then, select and copy the plain text.

- Now you are ready to use the text! Go to the page that you are editing and paste it into the Editor.
- Find the active line, where the flashing cursor is and right-click to get the context menu. Click paste and it will be pasted in the editor, ready to change fonts, sizes, colours and add alignment, indentation, bullets, numbers and images!
